# Property Details

> The full property workspace - analysis, conversation, stage tools, notes, and every header action in one view.

Clicking any property card (in Deal Hub, Deal Pipeline, or Off-Market/Lookup) opens the
property details view - a single workspace that combines photos and map, financial analysis,
the agent conversation, pipeline stage tools, and notes. It's where you do most of your work
on a single deal: analyze the numbers, message the agent, track stage checklists, and keep
internal notes, all without losing context.

<Info>
  **Key things to know**

  * Property Details is the single-deal workspace for analysis, communication, notes, and pipeline actions.
  * **Info** holds photos, map, financial analysis, editable property details, comps, and the Deal Calculator.
  * Pipeline stage tabs show the current stage, checklist work, and locked future stages.
  * Header actions let you set follow-ups, owner, tags, stage, sequences, export PDF, and save unsaved properties.
</Info>

<Note>
  **Related settings:** Financial defaults come from
  [Basic Setup > Financial Presets](/settings/basic-setup/financial-presets),
  [Basic Setup > Financing (Loans)](/settings/basic-setup/financing-loans), and the pins inside
  the [Deal Calculator](/features/roi-calculator). Comps
  configuration is in [Advanced Settings > Comps](/settings/advanced-settings/comps), while deal
  tags, team members, and roles are in
  [Advanced Settings > Organization](/settings/advanced-settings/organization).

## The same view, three contexts

The workspace adapts to where you opened it from:

* **From the Deal Pipeline** - everything is available: follow-up, owner, tags, stage
  dropdown, stage tabs and checklists, sequences, and deadlines. Analysis changes persist
  with **Save**.
* **From Deal Hub or Lookup (unsaved property)** - you can browse photos, comps, and run the
  Deal Calculator, but analysis edits show a "Save to persist" hint. Click **Save to Edit**
  to add the property to your pipeline and unlock everything.
* **From Messages** - opening a property from a conversation shows the same workspace, so you
  can check the numbers mid-conversation.

## Common questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Why can't I click a stage tab?">
    Tabs for stages the property hasn't reached yet are locked - the tooltip reads "Property
    must reach this stage first." Move the deal forward (header **Stage** dropdown or drag on
    the board) and the tab unlocks.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why won't my rehab / rent / deal calculator changes save?">
    From Deal Hub or Lookup, click **Save to Edit** first to save the property to your
    pipeline. A "Save to persist" hint appears on tiles that need it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What's the difference between 'Save to Edit' and 'Save'?">
    **Save to Edit** adds the property to your Deal Pipeline. **Save** (in Financial Analysis)
    persists ROI/analysis changes for a property that's already in the pipeline.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why am I asked to save when closing the property?">
    Financial Analysis works like a draft: mode, rent source, targets, and financing edits
    stay local until you click **Save**. Closing with unsaved analysis changes prompts you to
    **Save changes**, **Discard changes**, or keep editing, so nothing is lost silently.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What does 'Outside zips' mean?">
    The property is outside your saved ZIP codes. Listing and comps data may not be fully live
    for it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why does the header show a deletion countdown?">
    The deal is in the **Lost** stage and will be removed automatically when the countdown
    ends. Move it to any other stage to keep it - see
    [Stages](/features/deal-pipeline/stages).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where did the Inspection and Closing cards come from?">
    They appear automatically once the deal is under contract, showing the deadlines captured
    in the contract details. Use the small tabs on the card to switch between the two dates.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Limitations

* Follow-up, owner, tags, and deadlines only appear in the Deal Pipeline view, not while
  browsing Deal Hub or Lookup.
* Pipeline stage names and tabs are specific to your organization's configuration.
* Notes, conversation history, and analysis are tied to the saved property - if a Lost deal
  is auto-deleted, the message history survives but the deal workspace does not (re-saving
  the property revives it at the first stage).
