# WhatsApp Notifications

> Get ProPilot notifications on WhatsApp, and choose the one team member who can act on conversations from WhatsApp.

You can receive notifications from ProPilot on WhatsApp, so important conversation activity
reaches you even when you are away from the app. In addition, one team member - the **WhatsApp
Operator** - can act on conversations directly from WhatsApp.

## Connect your WhatsApp (per user)

Each team member connects their own number.

  <Step title="Open your Profile">
    Go to **My Profile** and scroll to the **WhatsApp** section.

  <Step title="Enter your number">
    Enter **Your WhatsApp Number**, including the country code (for example +1 for the US).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Activate">
    Click **Activate**. ProPilot sends a test message to your WhatsApp - reply to it to confirm
    the connection. Activation completes only after you reply.

Use **Remove** to disconnect your number at any time. To switch to a different number, remove
the current one, enter the new number, and activate again.

## WhatsApp Operator (per organization)

One member can be the **WhatsApp Operator**, who can reply to and manage conversations over
WhatsApp. Other members receive notifications only.

    Go to [Advanced Settings > Organization > WhatsApp Operator](/settings/advanced-settings/organization)
    (admins only).

  <Step title="Select and save">
    Choose a team member from the dropdown and click **Save Operator**. The operator should
    have their own WhatsApp connected and activated first.

You can change the operator at any time by selecting a different member and saving again.

## Common questions

  <Accordion title="Can everyone on my team act on conversations from WhatsApp?">
    No - only the designated **WhatsApp Operator**. Everyone else receives notifications only;
    they reply from [Messages](/features/messages) as usual.

  <Accordion title="No test message arrived?">
    Verify the number is correct and includes the country code, and that WhatsApp is active on
    that number, then try **Activate** again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I got the test message but I'm still not activated.">
    You need to reply to the test message in WhatsApp - the reply is what confirms the
    connection.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I change my WhatsApp number?">
    In **My Profile**, click **Remove** next to your current number, enter the new one, and
    click **Activate** again.
